Yvon Neptune is born at Cavaillon, future prime minister and prisoner

Yvon Neptune was born at Cavaillon, in the Sud, on 8 November 1946. Trained as an architect, he was president of the Senate from 2000 to 2002 and became prime minister under Aristide on 15 March 2002. After Aristide’s ouster in 2004 he was jailed and held about two years without trial.
