Whites arrested at Port-au-Prince are massacred
Haitian
On 5 February 1802, at the landing of the French army at Lamentin, the national fort fired the alarm cannon; at this signal all the whites who had been arrested at Port-au-Prince were led to the Valembrun savanna (Champ de Mars) and to Saint Martin, where they were pitilessly massacred.
Rouzier tells this under the entry SAINT MARTIN.
