Vallière submits to Légitime’s government

Haitian

Vallière and its dependencies separated from the insurrection of the North and made their submission to the government of President Légitime on 8 January 1889. General François Pierre made his entry there on the 12th, at 9 o’clock in the morning, amid the warmest ovations of the population. He found ramparts already well guarded to assure the security of the town against the Northerners, on the side of Fort-Liberté and of Trou.

Rouzier tells this under the entry VALLIÈRE.
