The Northern division bivouacs on the Yuna
Haitian
The locomotive runs through the great valley of the Yuna: this life-giving artery is going to change the face of the Cibao. Iron is found in fairly considerable masses in the region of the source of the Yuna. On 1 March 1805 the Haitian army [Northern division], marching against Sto. Domingo, after resting at Gua, bivouacked on the banks of the Yuna. On the 2nd the parish priest of Cotuy came out to meet Christophe and made his submission to him.
Rouzier tells this under the entry YUNA la ou la VEGA.
