The Affaire des deux jours

Haitian

On 19 July 1799, there was between the troops of the North and those of the South an encounter called the Affair of the Two Days, in which Dessalines was repulsed by the Rigaudins. More than 1,000 men perished there, and there were 2,000 wounded.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Glaize.
