Southonax entrusts fort Ilet to Captain Adelou against Commodore Ford

On 2 January 1794, Southonax entrusted Fort Ilet to Captain Adelou to resist Commodore Ford. At the second appearance of this commodore in the harbor, on 31 May, Fort Ilet turned back a parley boat from the English general.
