Saint-Marc joins the insurrection against the provisional government
Haitian
After the departure of President Salomon and the death of General Seide Thélémaque, Port-au-Prince, the Cap, the Nord’Ouest and the Gonaives rose in insurrection against the provisional government: St. Marc gave its adhesion to this insurrection on 13 October 1888 after having signed a solemn act by which the notables of the town acknowledged that General Thélémaque had not been murdered at Port-au-Prince; he was the victim of political intrigues of parties competing for supreme power.
Rouzier tells this under the entry ST.-MARC.
