Roussan Camille, poet of Assaut à la Nuit, is born at Jacmel

Roussan Camille was born at Jacmel on 27 August 1912. He wrote under the pen name Nassour El Limac. He became director of Haiti-Journal after Charles Moravia’s death in 1938, and published Assaut à la Nuit, his best-known collection, in 1940. He served as secretary of the Haitian legation in Paris and as vice-consul in New York. He died on 7 December 1961.
