Rigaud leaves Les Cayes for Tiburon and embarks for Guadeloupe

On 29 July 1800 Rigaud, feeling the impossibility of continuing the civil war, withdrew from the Cayes to Tiburon, where he embarked with his family for Guadeloupe. Dessalines entered the Cayes and pursued him to Tiburon; when he learned of his departure, he returned to the Cayes.
