Rigaud falls back on Léogane
Haitian
Six weeks after Rigaud had driven the English out of Léogane (6 October 1794), the latter presented themselves at Truitier. Rigaud marched against them and gave them battle on this habitation. The Republicans threw themselves upon them with the bayonet and routed them. But the reinforcements and several pieces of cannon that came out of Bizoton arrived at Truitier to the aid of the English and restored the fight. Rigaud fell back upon Léogane on 5 December.
Rouzier tells this under the entry TRUITIER DE VAUCRESSON.
