Pétion takes up arms at Haut-du-Cap and seizes the cannon of Bréda

There was a fort on the habitation Bréda, defended by a 4-pounder. When, on 14 October 1802, Pétion took up arms against the French at the Haut-du-Cap, he seized this piece of cannon.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Bréda.
