Pétion made an expedition to the Northwest against Christophe

Haitian

On 2 July 1807 President Pétion made an expedition into the Northwest against Christophe. Port-de-Paix had declared in his favor. He sent General Lamarre to the Môle Saint Nicolas to support the insurrection of Port-de-Paix. Lamarre landed at Port-à-Piment. On 13 July Christophe, with 8,000 men, invaded the department of the Northwest, which was in revolt in favor of Pétion.

Rouzier tells this under the entry NORDOUEST [le].
