Lamarre is driven from the Gonaïves

Haitian

On 28 May 1807, Lamarre, with 2,000 men of President Pétion, made a landing at the Gonaïves, repulsed Magny, who commanded there for Christophe, and held his ground there. But he was soon driven out of it (10 June).

Rouzier tells this under the entry Gonaïves (les).
