Mamzelle and Magloire Ambroise seize Saltrou and Marigot for Toussaint

Haitian

Toussaint Louverture, uneasy at the neutrality of Bauvais at Jacmel during his war against Rigaud, had Saltrou and Marigot taken on 11 July 1799 by Mamzelle and Magloire Ambroise: a leader of bands, a lieutenant of Mamzelle named Gay, slaughtered a great number of inoffensive and innocent men.

Rouzier tells this under the entry SALTROU.
