LETTER from the Minister to MM. D’ESRAGNY and DUMAITZ DE GOIMPY, Administrators-General of the Islands, concerning the Payment for the nègres carried off from Saint-Christophe

Haitian

The conduct of the sieur Desragny toward the Shipowners of the Bark that went to take from Saint-Christophe the nègres of the French who had left there was pleasing to His Majesty, and he approves that he engaged the Shipowners to sell them for fifty écus only to those to whom they belonged; but he must oblige them to accept payment in Sugar if the claimants have no money to pay them. Collated. DUMAITZ.

Registered at the Conseil of Petit-Goave, on the first of October 1692.
