Pétion reaches Poix la Ravine and learns Gonaïves is occupied
Haitian
In February 1798 the English of the Arcahaie had established an entrenched camp there, which Lapointe commanded for them. On 2 June 1807 President Pétion, marching against Christophe, arrived at Poix la Ravine. It was on this habitation that he received the news of the occupation of the Gonaives by Bazelais and Lamarre.
Rouzier tells this under the entry POIX LA RAVINE.
