Judoka Ernst Laraque is born, twice an Olympian for Haiti

Ernst Laraque was born on 16 November 1970. He fought in the men’s lightweight division at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and at Athens in 2004, and took bronze at the 2003 Pan American Games. He won further medals at Pan American championships between 1992 and 2001, and later coached in Montreal.
