Olden Polynice is born in Port-au-Prince, future NBA centre

Olden Polynice was born in Port-au-Prince on 21 November 1964. Chicago drafted him eighth overall in 1987 and traded him to Seattle for Scottie Pippen the same night. He played fifteen NBA seasons and 1,058 games, averaging 7.8 points and 6.7 rebounds. In 1993 he went on hunger strike over the treatment of Haitians.
