Joint commission meets to settle the Pedernales road dispute

Haitian

On 14 January 1911 at 9 o’clock in the morning there met Messrs. Edmond Héraux and Justin Bouzon, commissioners of the Republic of Haiti, and Gerardo Jansen and Francisco J. Peynado, commissioners of the Dominican Republic; all acting by virtue of powers recognized as good and sufficient to constitute themselves a mixed commission, in order to put an end to the dispute aroused between the two Republics by a road that the Dominican government is building against the eastern bank of the mouth of the Pedernales river and the Laguana del Fundo or Lake Azuey.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PEDERNALES.
