Halaou killed and his bands massacred at Croix-des-Bouquets
Haitian
Halaou, the chief of the revolted African bands of the plain of the Cul-de-Sac, was killed at the Croix-des-Bouquets on 9 February 1794. There was, on that occasion, a general massacre of his bands by the soldiers of the legion of the West who occupied the bourg.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Croix-des-Bouquets (la).
