General Jean-Louis François dies at Anse-à-Veau

Bois (les). Fort located in the arrondissement of Nippes, commune of Anse-à-Veau. General Jean-Louis François, who died at Anse-à-Veau on 10 March 1806, at the age of 37, was buried there. He was born at the Cayes in 1769. He was at Camp Prou in 1790. He was a signatory of the act of independence of Haiti.
