Galumette Michel makes a stand at Carrefour Paye

On 11 March 1873, Galumette Michel, in flight after his abortive uprising of the 3rd at the Gonaïves, was pursued from the habitation Cercado as far as Carrefour Paye, where he stopped to return the gunfire directed at him. (See Cercado.)
