French army lands at Lamentin and takes Fort Léogane
Haitian
The French army landed at the Lamentin on 5 February. Fort Bizoton submitted. Fort Léogane (Lerebours) offered it a lively resistance. After two repeated assaults, it was carried. General Boudet entered the town and pursued the fugitives.
Rouzier tells this under the entry PORT-AU PRINCE [le].
