Freedmen retreat to La Fossette after a deadly fight with the Cap petits blancs

On 4 December 1792, after a murderous combat fought against the affranchis by the petits blancs of the Cap, the former withdrew to the Fossette, which they evacuated the same day to reach the Haut du Cap, where they entrenched themselves.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Fossette (la).
