Deputy proposes a military post at Anse-à-Gavot

Haitian

ANSE-A-GAVOT [l’]. Port placed on the coast of the main road from Jacmel to Bainet, dependent on the rural section of la Brésilienne, commune of Bainet, from which it is 5 leagues distant. Very important through the growth of its population and its geographic position. In the session of the Chamber of 9 September 1891 the deputy M. Heurtelou fils proposed to raise it to a military post.

Rouzier tells this under the entry ANSE-A-GAVOT [l’].
