Deputy N. Jean Baptiste proposes a military post at La Plate Forme

Haitian

In 1810, at the evacuation of the Môle, the garrison followed the coast as far as the Plate Forme, where it broke up: some officers surrendered to Christophe, others fell into the woods. On 24 August 1891 the deputy N. Jean Baptiste proposed to the chamber to erect this place into a poste militaire.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PLATE FORME (la).
