Deputy Phénix Jacques proposes funds to embank the Fossé Jonca
Haitian
FOSSÉ JONCA. Ravine situated at the northern extremity of Port Margot, a few hundred paces from the Grande Rivière. At the slightest rain, the Grande Rivière pours its waters into the Fossé Jonca, which in its turn spreads into the town. These occurrences are very dangerous at night. In the session of the Chamber of 9 September 1891, the deputy Phénix Jacques proposed entering 5,000 gourdes in the budget to embank the Fossé Jonca.
Rouzier tells this under the entry FOSSÉ JONCA.
