Dadou Pasquet, the guitar behind Magnum Band, is born in Port-au-Prince

André Pasquet, known to everyone as Dadou, was born in Port-au-Prince on 19 August 1953. A singer, songwriter and guitarist, he was one of the defining players of Haitian kompa and shaped the sound of Magnum Band. He died on 22 November 2025, aged seventy-two.
