Conspiracy led by Aimé Legros breaks out at Dessalines

Haitian

On 5 May 1863 a conspiracy broke out at Dessalines, headed by General Aimé Legros, former secretary of State for the Interior under President Geffrard. This general and his principal accomplices were taken prisoner at la Petite-Rivière de l’Artibonite, and paid with their lives for their attempt against the public peace.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Dessalines ou Marchand.
