Haitian

IVONET. Habitation and camp situated in the rural section of the Haute Guinaudée, commune of Jérémie. The insurgents of Jérémie had seized it in 1803. The commandant of the town, Colonel Berger, made a sortie on 23 June and drove them out; but he was killed by a saber blow.
