Bernard Séjourné of the École de la Beauté dies

Bernard Séjourné died on 28 October 1994. Born in Port-au-Prince in 1947, he was the leading figure of the School of Beauty, which made women emblems of elegance and grace. He worked mostly in acrylic on large masonite panels. He showed at the Festival of Black Arts in Dakar in 1966 and at Expo 67 in Montreal, and Baron Philippe de Rothschild chose him to design the Château Mouton Rothschild label for 1986.
