1791-Mar.: Chevalier Mauduit was struck down and decapitated by his own grenadiers after he refused to kneel and apologize to the national guard.

1791-Mar.: Chevalier Mauduit was struck down and decapitated by his own grenadiers after he refused to kneel and apologize to the national guard. His head was carried on a bayonet through the streets, and his body was dragged to his house, which the mob entirely ransacked and demolished.
