1767-Jan.-28: Srs. Loup and Brassier, farmers of the Caracole landing stage, advertised a twice-weekly transport service between Caracole and Cap-Français. They provided extensive warehouses for colonial produce, boats for ship-to-shore transfer, and specialized coopers for managing sugar shipments. A notable infrastructure improvement included a stone jetty extending into the sea, allowing for low-tide loading of 15-barrel boats via a new crane. Weekly lists of recipients for incoming goods were posted every Sunday at the door of the church in Trou.
