1767-Jan.-28: Legal notices in the colonial press called for the settlement of several estates and debts within the Northern Province. Creditors for the estate of M. Allain, a Counselor at the Superior Council, were summoned to a meeting at the office of Notary Me. Delan. Simultaneously, creditors of the Chevalier de Réal’s plantation were asked to submit notes on their claims to the attorney Me. Menude. Additionally, individuals holding mortgages on the property of Sr. Touré, a blacksmith in the Cap, were required to declare them by April 1st.
