Il est défendu aux officiers de l'amirauté de se rendre adjudicataire directement ou indirectement, des bâtimens ou effets capturés, sous peine d'interdiction, d'amende, etc.

Life lesson: Admiralty officers cannot buy prizes they're judging — direct or indirect purchase means suspension and fines.
Notes: Judicial conflict of interest: admiralty officers barred from purchasing captured vessels/effects (directly or indirectly). Penalty: interdiction + amende. Anti-corruption provision.
