Des sentences, jugemens et arrêts

Criminal Procedure
Titre II: De la procédure criminelle (On Criminal Procedure)
Chapitre X: Des sentences, jugemens et arrêts (On Sentences, Judgments, and Decrees)

Les jugemens en première instance seront rendus par deux juges, celui d'instruction compris.

Life lesson: First-instance criminal verdicts require two judges, one of whom is the investigating judge — no single-judge criminal convictions.
Notes: Minimum bench for first instance: 2 judges including juge d'instruction. Collegial decision-making. Investigating judge participates in judgment — not recused despite prior involvement. Continental inquisitorial tradition.
