Life lesson: Even after prescription, you can put the drawer under oath to swear whether the bill was actually paid.
Notes: Oath mechanism: post-prescription moral safeguard. Drawer/heirs may be compelled to swear on payment status. Same concept as Loi civile Art. 1535.
