De la Compétence des Cours d'Amirauté

Commercial Law
Titre V: Des Testamens, Inventaires, et Compétence des Cours d'Amirauté (On Wills, Inventories, and Admiralty Court Jurisdiction)
Chapitre II: De la Compétence des Cours d'Amirauté (On the Jurisdiction of the Admiralty Courts)

Les actions intentées contre un propriétaire, fermier ou cultivateur, pour vente des denrées provenant de son cru; celles intentées contre un négociant pour payement de denrées et marchandises pour son usage particulier, ne sont pas de la compétence des cours d'amirauté.

Life lesson: A farmer selling his own crops or a merchant buying for personal use — those aren't commercial matters and don't belong in admiralty court.
Notes: Further exclusions: (1) landowner/farmer/cultivator selling own produce (cru), (2) merchant purchasing goods for personal use. Agricultural sales and personal consumption excluded from admiralty jurisdiction.
