He was purchased at the bar of the Port Authority of Port de Paix under the name of Jean, a Spaniard from the island of Cuba, speaking French. His height is 4 feet 8 to 9 inches. He is somewhat skilled in masonry, has poor teeth, several scars on his face, and is branded on the chest with CHESNEAU in a horseshoe pattern. Three Portuguese coins will be given for his capture.
