Women of Léogane drag two cannon from Fort Ça-Ira into the town against President Boyer

Haitian

On 13 March 1843, women of Léogane, learning that President Boyer was about to come and attack the town, harnessed themselves to two large-caliber cannon that they had taken at Fort Ça-Ira, and dragged them into the town to help repel the head of the State.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Ça-Ira.
