Whites take La Tannerie from Biassou

Haitian

PIVETEAU. Habitation in the commune of Dondon. After the capture of the Tannerie from Biassou by the whites, on 18 January 1793, Jean François went to camp at Piveteau in order to fall from there upon the whites and attack them piecemeal. Governor Laveaux took it after meeting heroic resistance.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PIVETEAU.
