Toussaint is arrested by General Brunet

Haitian

General Brunet, charged by Leclerc with arresting the former governor, invited him to attend a banquet at the Gonaïves. Toussaint betook himself to the Béranger habitation in order to go to the Gonaïves. On the George habitation, adjoining that of Pougandin, he met General Brunet, who had come to meet him. The French general received him with distinction, and at a signal given he was arrested on 10 June 1802 and dispatched to France, where he died at Fort de Joux in the Jura.

Rouzier tells this under the entry SANSÉE ou SANCEY.
