Thiballier’s column attacks and is driven back
Haitian
The second column of the whites, commanded by Thiballier, unaware that the first had been annihilated, attacked on the 7th. The nègres kept hidden behind the trees and the rocks, and overthrew the whites on every side with a most lively plunging fire. The whites were forced to abandon the field of battle, after having lost the Lieutenant Colonel of the 88th, Doyle.
Rouzier tells this under the entry PLATONS (les).
