The popular army gained an advantage over the government army at Morne Carcasse

MORNE CARCASSE. Morne located at Tiburon. On 12 February 1843 the popular army gained an advantage over that of the government, from which it took 56 horses, 100 rifles, 200 prisoners, provisions and munitions of war, and money. See: Carcasse.
