Boyer’s troops defeated at Lesueur by the revolution
Haitian
There was a famous combat between the troops of President Boyer and those of the revolution, on 21 February 1843, in which the former were defeated. Colonel Lamarre, of Boyer’s army, and Dorvilier Bruno of the popular army lost their lives there, as did some twenty men.
Rouzier tells this under the entry LESUEUR.
