The King: «Our officers of the House of Trade of the Indies, who reside in the city of Seville, you know already how I have provided the admiral don Diego Colón as our Governor of the said Indies, who goes to use the said charge, and because it is my will that in the matter of his passage it be done with him as was done with the Governor who now is, at the time he crossed to the said Indies, therefore I command you to see the books you have of the said time, and all that you find was done with the said Governor, as well in paying his passage and license for animals and other things, that you do and carry out with the said Admiral, without lacking anything, for I, by the present, if it is necessary, give license for it for this once. Made at the Realejo, on the 13th day of December of 1508. The King. By command of His Highness, Lope Conchillos.»
