The English leave La Coupe for good

Haitian

In 1797, Pétion surrounded the fort of la Coupe, which was commanded by an English officer named Kérenskoff. After an hour of combat, he took it on 5 December. On 15 February 1798, the English left the place for good.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PETION-VILLE.
