The Eastern part is handed to Toussaint in the name of France

Haitian

In December 1800 Toussaint Louverture marched from the Cap on Santo Domingo with 10,000 men. On 21 January 1801 the Eastern part was handed over to him in the name of France. On the 25th he made his entry into Santo Domingo, despite the preparations for resistance of the governor, Don Joachim Garcia.

Rouzier tells this under the entry SANTO-DOMINGO.
