The attack on Port-au-Prince ended the Cacos war and cost Salnave his life
Haitian
It was at Mont-Rouis that the plan of attack on Port-au-Prince was settled on 13 December 1869 between Brice, Boisrond Canal and Léon Déjoie. This glorious feat of arms, which took place on the 18th, put an end to the war of the Cacos, which had lasted two years, and cost President Salnave his life.
Rouzier tells this under the entry MONT-ROUIS.
