Sinclair routs Romaine la Prophetesse at Trou Coffi
Haitian
On 12 March 1792 Romaine la Prophetesse, who committed so many crimes in the canton of Léogâne, had his headquarters there. Sinclair, a man of color, sent against him with forces by the commissioner St.-Léger, assailed him, dispersed his band and nearly took him prisoner. From then on Léogâne was delivered from the fury of this impostor.
Rouzier tells this under the entry TROU COFFI [le].
